Here's my quick 2.33 min invitation to the Total Self-Acceptance / Self-Forgiveness Masterclass:

FORGIVENESS MASTERCLASS

I'm delighted to be offering my extended Forgiveness Field Masterclass - on the gentle art of Total Self-Acceptance (aka Self-Forgiveness) again.

I only do these once or twice a year - so if you’re feeling you need a bit more self compassion right now, do sign up for the class.

Even though I don’t think it’s true you “need to forgive yourself first before you can forgive anyone else” - self forgiveness is a foundational element of your mental and emotional wellbeing.

How you feel about yourself affects the whole of your life. Sometimes we’re not consciously aware of the relentless self-criticism that undermines how we feel about ourselves. Sometimes we hear it loud and clear and still don’t know what to do about it.

I’ve extended the class to two hours so we can do some helpful and essential preparation work before the visualisation. You don’t want to attempt to forgive yourself for things that simply aren’t true about you.

One of the most important parts of the preparation work is discovering what are those ancient, familiar, mostly unconscious, often  painful, self-sabotaging, limiting beliefs. If we leave them unnoticed and unchallenged, they influence how we feel about ourselves and our lives.

Self-forgiveness is deep shadow work. It’s not always comfortable, but as one of my teachers, Craig Hamilton often said, “if you’re not uncomfortable, you’re probably not evolving” - because it takes courage and willingness to face yourself honestly and decide to change.

I don't know anyone who doesn't need to do this work. I've personally grappled with long-standing critical beliefs about myself - in my failure, my stupidity, my not-enoughness, and believing fundamentally “I don't matter”.

When I first started doing this work, those very deep, negative beliefs ran my life. Now, they are no longer unconscious or unchallenged (and… turns out... also not true!) Even when they pop up again from time to time, as these old patterns sometimes can, I know how to deal with them - and this is the experience that you’ll have in this masterclass - how to manage your mind and untangle your heart.

The other important aspect about self-forgiveness is it requires a kind of maturity to both hold ourselves accountable for the choices we've made, admit our mistakes and shortcomings and not beat ourselves up at the same time.

It’s easy to slip over into self-abnegation or self-criticism - but this can be a way of avoiding this kind of accountability. When you get super clear on holding this balance between “yes, I did these things, but my actions are not fundamentally who I am”, then you can take appropriate action to make amends when it's safe to do so.

Self-forgiveness is part of how we do the great inner work - to wake up, grow up, clean up, open up and show up.

This masterclass is a powerful experiential immersion into the depths of self-forgiveness.

When you uncover your self-destructive core beliefs, self-sabotaging behaviours, you can also compassionately begin to understand how these patterns may have served to protect you. When you see the subtleties of what’s been going on in your mind and heart, you can gracefully release these patterns and move on from the past. You can refresh your relationship with yourself and come to a place of profound peace, release and acceptance, through the superpower of self-forgiveness.
